What are the best tires for a Harley Davidson 1200 Sportster for wet road traction?
I just got my new HD 1200 Sportster and was so excited I was riding it in the rain yesterday, but more than twice i almost lost it with the rear wheel slipping or sliding, oh gee I was so scared, but is there any type or brand of tire I could get that would correct this problem?
Note: I normally don't ride in the rain, but there will be times were I will be out riding and it may start raining, and i want to be safe cause i have to provide for my wifey-poo
kelly? it has the HD Brand stock tires, that are the same tire as the Dunlop 404
I prefer the Avon Venoms or the Avon Roadriders after that would be Metzler Marathon tires for riding in all conditions ,I hated the feel of the dunlops in wet conditions, and always take it easy on new tires for at least 100 to 150 miles of riding so the mold release agent from the factory will be scuffed off of the surface of the tire,I ride an 07 Sportster
